Laura Szymkowiak

Hello there! I'm Laura.

I'm a designer and a graduate of DePaul University's School of Design, where I focused my studies on graphic design, animation, and user experience design. I recently completed the Google UX Design Certificate to refresh and further strengthen my skills in user research, accessibility, and user-centered design.

I enjoy creating, problem-solving, understanding people, and learning new things to bring ideas to life. I'm passionate about using design to communicate clearly, solve real problems, and create thoughtful experiences that help people. Whether through visual communication, digital products, or educational resources, I strive to create work that is meaningful, accessible, and useful all while helping people connect with the information and resources they need. I'm especially drawn to projects centered around community, children, mental health, and technology.

When I'm not designing, I enjoy stepping away from my work by reading graphic novels and manga, watching a cheesy rom-com or family sitcom, or taking photos of the world around me.
