Laura Szymkowiak

Hello there! I'm Laura.

I’m a designer and a graduate of DePaul University’s School of Design, where I focused my studies on graphic design, animation, and user experience design. I’m currently completing the Google UX Design Certificate to further strengthen my skills in user research, and creating user-centered and accessible experiences.
 

I enjoy creating, problem-solving, and understanding others, and taking on multiple roles to help get the job done. I’m especially interested in designing for people, or work that’s thoughtful, useful, and can make a positive impact in someone’s everyday life.​ Topics I'm the most drawn to focus on community, children, technology, and education/learning. 

When I'm not designing, and away from the digital world of video games, social media, and the Internet, I am often found working on improving my art skills, reading graphic novels/manga, or taking photos of the world around me.
